Madiskarte Moms PH

Proof that with diskarte, grit, and community, every mom can build her own business empire.

Behind every sari-sari store, home kitchen, or online home business is a mom with big dreams. At Madiskarte Moms PH, every side hustle has the potential to become a real, thriving business — and these inspiring women prove it.

From small wins to nationwide success, these mompreneur stories in the Philippines are testaments to what can happen when moms are given the support, tools, and recognition they

deserve.

1. Aubrey Lopez– Babaylan Candles

Rooted in identity. Powered by purpose.

Aubrey Lopez, a single mom with deep ties to Filipino healing traditions, founded Babaylan Candles during the pandemic as a home-based side hustle. What began with a few hand-poured soy candles eventually grew into a heritage-inspired line showcased in craft fairs and pop-up bazaars across the Philippines—and even reaching Filipino communities in the US.

In a feature by Madiskarte Moms PH, Aubrey shared:

“Nagsimula noong pandemic bilang simpleng candle business — ngayon, umaabot na sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Pilipinas at US”

Reflecting on her journey as part of the program, she added:

“Being a Madiskarte Mom gave me confidence to speak my truth through my business. It’s not just about selling — it’s about telling stories and sparking energy.”

2. Jazel T. Gallaza – Kapekoh

From OFW to full-time mompreneur.

Jazel Gallaza, a mom of two and former cruise ship worker, built her business from a simple idea — creating a healthier coffee alternative that’s better for the body and rooted in Filipino ingredients. That spark became Kapekoh, a corn coffee brand now loved by health-conscious customers, resellers, and fellow madiskarte moms.

Beyond brewing low-acid coffee, Kapekoh also supports local corn farmers, charities, and moms looking to earn from home.

“Sobrang laking tulong ng Madiskarte Moms. Hindi lang siya platform — it’s a support system. Nagsimula ako sa isang raket lang, ngayon may brand na ako.”

Her journey from OFW to mompreneur proves that with grit and the right support, you can build a business with purpose and community impact.

3. Ayn Stephanie Buyco Angeles – HERS by Godfather

2023 Diskarteng Malikhain Awardee

From co-founding a Cebu-based bespoke footwear brand, Ayn launched HERS by Godfather — a personalized gifting line designed for women. What began as a passion project now serves both retail and corporate clients, offering elegant, intentional packaging.

“Through HERS, I get to celebrate women while building a business that feels personal and creative.”

Ayn proves that with the right diskarte, even side projects can scale with heart and purpose.

“Being recognized by Madiskarte Moms made me realize I wasn’t alone. It was more than an award — it was a reminder that moms like me are capable of building brands that last.”
