In a world where most moms juggle work, family, and personal dreams, Camille Reaño found a way to turn her creativity into a full-time passion and a profitable business. From commuting daily to Makati as an accountant, working over 10 hours a day, to now running a blooming creative business from home, Camille’s journey is a true testament to the power of diskarte, consistency, and heart.
A Childhood Dream, Rekindled
Even as a young girl, Camille always dreamed of becoming a businesswoman. But like many moms, her reality meant setting aside that dream for a stable job. Her life before Paper Flowers Manila was filled with long work hours, stressful commutes, and the everyday grind. Yet that childhood spark never really left.
The Flower Wall That Changed Everything
The idea for Paper Flowers Manila bloomed unexpectedly. While helping out with an L300 van rental for a wedding, Camille saw a flower wall for the first time and it was love at first sight.
“May magical effect po ang flower wall. We checked the market and realized walang maayos na provider. So we gave it a try.”
With her husband as her partner in both life and business, Camille dove into the world of creative styling — studying paper flower techniques, learning from online tutorials, and joining workshops.
Starting From Scratch, Posting With Purpose
Their first ever flower wall client got a discounted price not for profit, but for the chance to build a portfolio. That bold move paid off.
“After our first client, tuloy-tuloy na ang bookings. We stayed consistent with posting on social media until wedding industry pros started to notice and partner with us.”
From Passion to Purpose
For Camille, it’s not just about making things look beautiful — it’s about making people feel something.
“I know our flower wall adds magic to every event. That keeps me inspired.”
Design ideas often come from collaboration and research. Camille and her team constantly innovate by reviewing past bestsellers and staying updated through global trends online.
Building a Business While Raising Kids
Camille isn’t just a creative boss. She’s a hands-on mom too. With a four-year-old daughter and a one-month-old baby, her daily routine is a careful balancing act.
Though her kids are still too young to help with the business, they’re her biggest motivation.
“I work while the kids are asleep or in school. I always try to be a present mom and an efficient businesswoman.”
Powered by Love and Community
Behind Camille’s success is a strong support system — especially her husband, who handles production and execution. Together, they manage a team of 10 on-call staff, including working students and single parents.
One of their biggest madiskarte moves? Joining wedding fairs, even as a new brand in the industry. It was risky — but it gave Paper Flowers Manila the visibility it needed to thrive.
Inspired by Fellow Madiskarte Moms
“Every time I read inspiring stories in the Madiskarte Moms community, nabubuhayan po ako ng loob.”
Camille credits much of her drive to the encouragement and energy she gets from fellow mompreneurs in the group.
